APPrO publishes advice on Ontario’s distributed generation programs

Toronto: The Association of Power Producers of Ontario (APPrO) has released a set of recommendations and comments on how to manage the expected growth in distributed generation in Ontario.

Most recently, the organization filed a submission with the Ontario Energy Board in response to the Board’s initiative titled “Distributed Generation: Rates and Connection (EB-2007-0630)'. APPrO’s submission is available on its website at:

https://www.appro.org/docs/APPrO_submission_to_the_OEB_consultation_on_DG_(EB-2007-0630)_August_24_2007.pdf

In addition, a Working Group initiated by APPrO filed comments on the Ontario Power Authority’s proposed rules and contract terms for the “Clean Energy Standard Offer Program' or CESOP. APPrO recommended that the program be proceeded with as soon as possible, but that there be some expansion in the range of eligible projects and in the number of hours per year in which premium pricing is available. APPrO’s full comments are available at the following location:

APPrO has prepared a compendium of resources for anyone interested in the Standard Offer Program. The compendium is available on line at the following location:
