7) Small group workshops - Seeking policy concurrence

Note: all output from the following sessions will be on a “no-names” basis

 

a) What do power producers really need in terms of new tariffs and services and what are the implications, barriers and potential costs and benefits with an attempt to develop coherence? Simultaneous sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Defining generators’ needs and new services in gas terms
  • Integrating upstream and downstream contracts
  • Nominations Windows – how best to coordinate required changes
  • Use of discretionary supplies and IT services
  • Use of diversions
  • Storage Issues – availability,  flexibility, optimizing across jurisdictions

 

b) Identify the recommended most important 3 issues to be addressed by the industry to better serve generators

 

- Moderators will include Fred Hassan, Lisa DeMarco, Emay Cowx, Bob Cappadocia, and others.

Discussion of recommendations and areas of common concern coming out of the work-groups.

 

To be followed by a Survey-Questionnaire that will be sent out after the conference. The survey will be designed to clarify how delegates would like to have the issues be carried forward, and what roles they would like to play in the effort.
