APPrO 2006 is
one of the leading conferences in the Ontario electricity sector. This
year promises to be extremely interesting. Ontario is looking at
building or replacing power capacity at a rate amongst the highest
anywhere in the world. And with supply problems in the newspapers
almost daily, you can be sure there will be lots of attention focused
on clearing the path for new generation, both renewable and
conventional sources.
Once
again, as it has for many years, the APPrO show is being presented
in conjunction with the Green Power Conference, highlighting the most
promising business opportunities for development of cleaner power
technologies. In addition, the associated Trade Show, covering both
green power and conventional technologies, will feature some of the
latest entrants and most active players in the power generation
business. Based on past experience, we anticipate over 700 delegates,
and 70 exhibitors, along with significant media and public attention.
Given the impact of the government’s RFPs for new supply and
conservation, the numbers could be even greater.
